The contracting authority is seeking expressions of interest from transport companies and individuals for all or part of the distribution of forest plants to customers.
Approximately 80 % of sales are based in Ireland requiring localised distribution of product throughout the Republic of Ireland. Distribution requires a mixed fleet of rigid lorries (or smaller vehicles) with or without trailers. Overall demand will be dictated by orders received but will predominantly range from 20 to 50 lorry movements per week.
Delivery to Scotland requires the use of articulated lorries (curtain-siders) during the period November to May (estimated total of 35 loads).
